Iggles wanders the forest looking for its daddy. It asks every forest creature it meets this question, with a hopeful smile.
When they say no, it eats them; because the world is divided into four categories: Iggles, Daddy, Dinner, and Things That Don't Talk . Iggles is a little sad, because it has only has only ever found Dinner and Things That Don't Talk so far; but it remains optimistic. Because one day! One day! It will find Daddy, and the quest of its short life will be over. And it will be so very happy! And then kill Daddy. Because others of its kind are clearly competitors. Since gender is a meaningless concept to it, I'm not sure why it asks for Daddy. You could ask it if you like... ...So I think this would make a great picture book. "Are you my Daddy?" "Ribbit." CHOMP. "Are you my Daddy?" "Grrrrr!" CHOMP. "Are you my Daddy?" "MOoooooo!" CHOMP. And so forth. Ending, of course, with "Are you my Daddy?" CHOMP. Wacom Tablet, Gimp, and some misfiring neurons. I dunno why I'm on a cute streak just now, but at least it's also a Wrong streak. Thus is Balance maintained. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
